KIDS Creativity
Knowing our children will inherit a world full of challenge and complexity, working with them to develop their creative aliveness, imaginative prowess, and adaptive spirit is one of my deepest loves. The work centers around the questions:
How do we support true creativity in ourselves and our children?
What supports and catalyzes the imagination?
What contexts, containers, and experiences bolster our own and our children's creative courage, imagination, expression, and connection?
Through embodied practice (movement/dance, visual art, + poetry), how can we and our children participate with a larger creative aliveness that is guiding us individually and collectively into being more capable, response-able, and impactful human beings?
Through master classes, ongoing education, workshops, and camps, I aim to develop a unique and essential training ground for your child’s creative powers to truly thrive:
I’m committed to this new kind of movement education and interdisciplinary creative practice that empowers our children to explore their creative potential.
I’m creating movement/dance, visual art, + poetry experiences designed to foster children’s brain and nervous system development to enhance curiosity, courage, and self-confidence.
I’m establishing a robust training vehicle for our children to grow their embodied power for revealing their unique contributions.
Current movement classes are taking place at Dance Dimensions, Longmont, CO, as well as master classes and workshops around the Denver/Boulder area.
EARTH & SKY Nature and Creativity Camp for Kids
I want to warmly welcome your children to my annual summer EARTH and SKY Nature and Creativity Camp for Kids! I truly love these weeks of the year because they combine so many elements of creative exploration and the beauty of nature that I hold dear to my heart. I can't wait to see how each week unfolds for us all and what experiences, manifestations, mischief, and connections we make together!
Each week we will explore the magical location of Buckingham Trailhead up Lefthand Canyon with physical games, movement improvisation, open play, painting, drawing, writing, craft projects, stories, and anything else our imaginations may inspire! We will also take time to rest, relax and find quiet time in nature. We will investigate the earth, the water, the trees, the sun, the wind, and space while cultivating a keen eye, curious mind, open heart, and creative spirit. Be prepared for tired, saturated, dirty kiddos! :)
Camp is open to K-6th graders and generous time is spent developing connection and comradery across the ages. Kiddos are invited to foster their leadership, guidance, listening, willful surrender, support, and adaptable power!
